We have cardholders who have access to multiple funds within Ramp. The funds are similar so they use the same merchant type and vendor. Many of our users do not have cell phones and therefore cannot immediately log in to review and recategorize transactions while making purchases. This can create unnecessary card declines when making purchases across multiple funds during the same outing.
An example of this happening is when I have a household food fund of $100 and a household supply fund of $100. Say I purchase $50 of food and Ramp correctly codes it in the food fund. Then I purchase $50 more of food, and Ramp codes it incorrectly to the supply fund. Then if I try to purchase $100 of supplies, the card will decline.
It would be useful if unreviewed prior purchases can automatically shift to different funds to allow all appropriate purchases to go through. Once the card holder reviews the expense, then it locks in the fund.
