Has anyone else experienced this with Ramp’s Procurement changes?
We received an email yesterday saying that the Ramp Procurement module has become a separate offering and that it’s going to cost us additional $$.
We spoke with our Ramp representative today, and we were told, “No, it’s completely going away and being replaced with something else that doesn’t even look appealing.” When we probed to clearly define what “Ramp Procurement” actually includes or, more importantly, what functionality in our current setup would be impacted they could not as they don’t even understand it…
When we use Ramp’s AI assistant, it takes us through various workflows and identifies many different features that appear to be part of the Procurement module. Yet, interestingly, the AI assistant doesn’t seem to know anything about the new charges or the change in packaging.
To make matters even more concerning, our own Ramp representative is having to go offline to research exactly what the Procurement module includes, determine which areas we are currently using, and then figure out what the pricing impact would be for us.
I’m not sure how customers are expected to make informed decisions when the messaging is unclear, the AI gives a different picture, and even the account representative doesn’t appear to have a definitive understanding of what is changing.
Has anyone else received this communication? If so, have you been able to get a clear explanation of what functionality is moving to Procurement, what is going away, and what the actual additional cost will be?
