My team loves the Activity section in transactions and bills and use it a lot to keep track of things, however, given we’re a centralized AP/Accounting team that supports a multi-site infrastructure with several locations, it would be really nice to have the following options available:
- An activity inbox: We often have conversations with people to go back and forth on certain items for specific transactions. It’s hard to dig these up after the fact however because once you dismiss the comment, it disappears, so unless you remember exactly which bill/transaction it is (which is near impossible), it’s very tough to find the conversation. It would be great if we had an activity inbox to manage all converations so you can refer back to them later
- Search activity: It would also be awesome to be able to search for activity after the fact, so if there is no inbox, you can at least find it through search
- Group tagging: Our users are often confused who to tag in their comments based on what the question is. It would be great if they could tag a group (e.g., @Accounting or @AP) so everyone on the thread gets alerted of the comment and the appropriate person can action it accordingly. That would save us a lot of headache!
- Admin flag for comments where no user was @mentioned: We’ve also had instances where a user will add a comment but if they don’t specifically @mention someone, it gets lost in the ether. It would be nice to be able to turn on a feature to flag all comments without mentions to admin or someone so they don’t get lost. We’ve had users get frustrated because they asked a question this way and never received a follow up because it didn’t alert anyone on my team, so this would be a good way to avoid this.
