Current use case
Right now, Ramp only allows users to be invited as an Employee, Admin, or Guest. Many companies, ours included, work with contractors who operate like employees — they make purchases, manage vendors, and handle approvals — but they’re not technically full-time staff.
Requested improvement
It would be helpful to have a dedicated “Contractor” role with permissions between Employee and Admin. This would allow contractors to manage and approve vendor expenses without granting full administrative access or forcing us to classify them as guests, which currently blocks those actions.
Why it matters
A fourth role would make it easier to stay compliant while reflecting real-world team structures. It would prevent overlap between employee and vendor permissions, reduce risk, and streamline how companies manage external contributors who are deeply involved in operations.
