At some point, I think we turned off the auto-filling of the memo field in card transactions because Ramp’s suggestions didn’t align with our conventions. It’s our desire to make the Ramp memos fit into our GL system’s style. Specifically we have a limited number of characters in the GL memo field, so everything needs to be very specific and succinct. Is there anything on the horizon for “Instructions” we could make for card transaction memos similar to how we can create Instructions in Bill Pay? For example, an instruction might be, “Never include the Vendor name in the Memo field.” So instead of “Zoom Monthly Subscription,” we’d want “Monthly Subscription.” Another example, “Eliminate all conjunction words such as and, but, for”
