Is it possible to connect Ramp to my Sage Intacct instance, and be able to allocate expenses to multiple entities, while having my balance sheet liability just hit my main entity? Is this possible in the Ramp environment?
If not, has anyone figured out a work around for this? Do I just not sync with Sage, export to excel and reformat to upload at the top level instance in my Sage to hit all the entities correctly?
Hi @Richie_Stevens! Welcome, and thank you for the question.
Yes, you can connect to Sage Multi-Entity, but you must create separate credit card liability accounts for each entity. I’ve included two images below that should help with this setup!
I was able to book at the main entity by making the following changes:
Company > Entities > click into your Ramp entity
Click Entity Details
Under danger zone > change subsidiary to “Top Level”
This change allowed me to access all locations at the entity synced to Ramp
Sage has the ability to enter intercompany transactions on the back end. If configured, it automatically posts an intercompany transaction for any transaction not balanced across entities. One clarifying point is that we use locations and entities interchangeably.
