Auto-Lock Features, UI, and Travel Tracking

I have some suggestions:

  1. Auto-lock—The current auto-lock feature, one of my favorites, offers options for 3 or 7 days. I want the 5-day option as I tighten my controls on this process.
  2. Supervisor Auto-Lock for Expense Approvals—The auto-lock feature has significantly improved the timely submission of employee receipts. To further streamline the expense management process, I suggest implementing a similar auto-lock feature for supervisors. This would automatically lock expense reports if they are not reviewed and approved within a configurable timeframe, encouraging timely approvals.
  3. Popup (Approved transaction)- The current pop-up notification confirming a transaction has been approved is often unnecessary and redundant, especially as it disappears quickly. Please consider removing or modifying this pop-up notification.
  4. Travel—My admins often book trips for their Executives. Ramp tracks the trip to the admin’s name. Adding a “traveler” field and pulling that data from the receipt may be helpful to track it to the person traveling, not the person booking the trip.

Thanks for considering.

Thanks! @rogerb - A few quick answers for you:

For #1–3: I just submitted this feedback to our Product team. Appreciate you flagging them!

For #4 - it sounds like you’ll need to turn on Assistant Mode. Head to the user’s profile → under the Delegation tab, assign them as an Assistant. Once that’s set, they’ll be able to book travel on behalf of the user. It’ll look like this:

That said, we love your suggestion about a travel admin role that can self-assign and book for anyone. Our Travel team is actively considering adding this to the roadmap.

Thanks again!

Thanks, Charlotte. For #4, is there a way to track travel to a specific person if the trip is booked outside of Ramp?

Yes, employees can forward travel itineraries (including receipts or booking confirmations) to [email protected]. Ramp parses these emails and attempts to match the itinerary to the appropriate transaction or trip, even if the booking was made outside Ramp Travel.

In the admin dashboard, use the Booking Status filter and select Off-platform to view flights and hotels tied to trips in Ramp. Keep in mind that this view only reflects what users have manually associated or tracked in Ramp.

Let me know if you have any additional suggestions or feedback here!
