I would like to see better visibility on bills/invoices when a credit memo is available to apply.
Currently, the only way to see if a credit is available to apply to an invoice is to edit the invoice, scroll down to the invoice total, and see if the “apply vendor credits” option is visible. When I’m looking at 70+ bills in the payment release queue, I don’t have time to open and then click edit on every one of them just to look for potential credits. Our AP clerk tells me that she doesn’t see this option when creating invoices either, only if she goes back in to edit after they’re created, so asking her to monitor it is equally disruptive to her workflow. So right now, the best option we have is to pull a report out of NetSuite for unapplied credits, and have that open to cross-reference when releasing payments in Ramp. Obviously not ideal.
My suggestion would be to take the little green icon that appears next to the amount in the billpay table view once a credit has been applied, and have a grey version appear if a credit is available but not yet applied. I would also like to see a “vendor credits are available to apply” message on the invoice itself - basically a version of the existing message that’s visible in normal view.
