We would like the ability to enter zero dollar invoices directly into Ramp and have them sync into our accounting software. Currently, we can enter zero dollar invoices into our accounting system, but Ramp does not allow us to create or sync zero dollar invoices.
This functionality is important because we occasionally receive zero dollar invoices, and having the capability to track all invoices, including those with a zero dollar amount, within Ramp would greatly improve our record keeping.
Please consider adding this feature to enhance invoice tracking. Thanks!
I discovered the exact same issue here. New Ramp user here and I occasionally have parts of travel paid for by client but I still track the hotel folios and such in my expense reports for those items but enter them at $0.00 which Ramp won’t seem to allow me to do. (Never had a problem doing this in Expensify!).
@charlotte Hi Charlotte, We still don’t have the option to put in zero dollar invoices. Do you know if that is something the product team is working on to enable this functionality?
Hi Denice! I just followed up with the team. I don’t believe there are any updates to share, but I flagged that you’re still very interested in this functionality.
Hi Charlotte, I wanted to restate our interest in being able to issue zero dollar invoices in Ramp. We receive quite a few of them so having this functionality would be very useful for tracking.
Hey all! This is Elena, a product manager on Bill Pay. We’re currently tracking the ask around zero dollar invoices and hoping to learn more about why this functionality would be helpful.
Denice / Albert - if you’re able to provide a bit more info on why you’re receiving $0 invoices and how you expect this to be accounted for, that would be super helpful!
Hi Elena, Thanks for reaching out! We receive $0 invoices in situations where the vendor is documenting activity for a service that is contractually completed. Even though the amount is $0, these invoices are still important for documentation and audit purposes for services completed. From an accounting perspective, we’d expect $0 invoices to be recorded similarly to standard invoices but with no payment required. Being able to upload and track them in Bill Pay would help keep records complete and aligned with vendor statements and internal audits.
