I had to cancel 2 Bill Pay check payments in Ramp that hadn’t been cashed yet so they could be re-issued. The payments were from late 2024 so the bank account in QBO had already been reconciled. Ramp only sync’ed over a deleted entry. Is there a way Ramp could sync this in a manner that would not cause my already reconciled bank account to now how have a thrown off starting balance without me having to manually re-enter the payment in QBO to then be offset by a mannualy entered deposit of the canceled funds?
When you cancel a check payment in Ramp, the corresponding bill should automatically be deleted from QuickBooks Online (QBO). You shouldn’t need to take any further action to reconcile this. The issue is that it throws off reconciling our bank account, because it’s basically a stopped check but the money was previously debited and then returned. So if it doesn’t happen in the same month it requires entries to be there to reconcile. I’ve had to manually put in entries on a few of these since they’ve crossed months.
