Currently, once a credit card or a reimbursement transaction is synced from Ramp to Sage Intacct, the accounting fields such as Class, Vendor, GL Account, Department & Project Ids become permanently locked in Ramp. If an error is discovered after synchronization, the correction must be made directly in Sage Intacct.
This creates a significant issue because Ramp and Sage Intacct then contain different accounting information, resulting in two systems of record that are no longer aligned.
Notably, this limitation only exists for Credit Card Transactions & Reimbursements. For Bills, Ramp already provides the ability to update accounting fields after submission and re-sync those changes to the accounting system. This functionality works well and helps maintain consistency between systems.
We would like to see the same capability extended to Credit Card Transactions & Reimbursements. Specifically:
-
Allow editing of accounting and tracking fields (Class, Department, Location, Vendor, GL Account, Departments & Project Ids etc.) after a transaction has been synced.
-
Enable users to re-sync the updated transaction to Sage Intacct.
-
Automatically update the corresponding transaction in Sage Intacct with the revised accounting information.
