Hi! I’d like to submit a product request to make the Current and Prior Statement date range filters available for card holders via My Ramp > Overview so they may pull expense reports based on the statement period as well.
Not having this option for card holders has caused major reporting headaches because they are not always capturing every transaction.
Wondering if other customers struggling with this? And if so, how are you addressing this issue?
While we submit this product enhancement, in the meantime, as a workaround, cardholders can manually select the date range that corresponds to their statement period to generate a report. This requires a bit of extra effort but should help capture all transactions.
Thank you for the response. We’ve actually tried that workaround, but unfortunately had discrepancies between what showed on our “master” monthly statement for certain cardholders and what they pulled using the custom dates.
Thank you for confirming! Sorry to hear that, I’ll do some more digging and see if any other clients have had a different successful workaround and let you know what I find.
Hi Kathryn, one other suggestion with this specific workaround:
If there are discrepancies between the Ramp report and the employee’s report, I’d recommend checking if reimbursements are included in your report and if that’s what’s causing it. Otherwise, the two should match up.
Hi. We do not use the reimbursement functionality at this time. I do have a specific example of when using the statement period dates (instead of being able to select “Previous Statement”) has caused an issue. Cardholder had transaction dated in December not on our November “corporate” statement but did appear on her extracted report because she used the date range with that December date as the end range. This same transaction appeared on our December “corporate” statement and her extracted report because she again used the date range with the December start date to one month after. Also note that the same receipt showed up in the downloaded receipt zip file for both statements.
