Export User Roles overview

Hello,

It would be very beneficial to be able to export a full CSV of the User Role settings, showing what’s enabled and what is not by user.

We are currently screenshotting every role, which is far from ideal, especially since you cannot collapse irrelevant sections.

I’d love to understand:

  1. When do you need to review or share these role settings? Is this for auditing, onboarding new users, or something else?
  2. Are you looking to compare roles and the role permissions side by side? What’s the benefit of the CSV export?

Yes, both for auditing, and for us to keep within our accounting and audit team, as they have Finance Admin roles, and cannot view user roles.

Thanks Per! We’re in the process of updating our audit log to include this information, and will circle back when we have it. Once this is live in audit log, you will be able to export as a CSV. Feedback like yours helps us to prioritize these improvements!

In the meantime, one alternative is to give finance admins an additional custom role with user management permissions, including view other users and edit permissions of roles. Note that this will provide visibility but also edit access to permissions, so we’d only recommend assigning to users who need this permission.
