When trying to create training videos for your employees for company specific workflows, oftentimes it is an admin creating the video. This presents a challenge as most admins have confidential information or data on their dashboards they do not want share with the entire organization or recorded on video or in a Zoom session. It would be cool if we had a way to either switch from admin mode to “Noob Mode” (yes I made that up) where its a basic user profile they can demo without any live data. I guess that’s just a sandbox, but unsure if that exists and “Noob Mode” sounds cooler. Alternatively, giving us the ability to create a Ghost User which does not take up a license and exists strictly for testing would also do the trick. Thanks!
Hi Charlotte… I want to 2nd Oscar’s point. I’d love a sandbox type version of Ramp so that I can train employees & understand what an employee sees within their interface (because it is so different from Admin’s view). Thanks!
Hi Amanda!
Thanks so much for your note. I’ll pass along the feedback re: videos, but also want to share some good news! We are working on a feature that will allow admins to preview what Ramp looks like for other roles, which will hopefully make it easier to create training materials. I’ll be sure to update here when this ability is live in Ramp!
Thanks again for reaching out,
Rachel, Product team @ Ramp
Hi Oscar! Thanks for the suggestion (and love the name “Noob Mode” …! )
I definitely see the value here - I passed the idea on to our Solutions team.
In the meantime, our Product Marketing team is working on some more demo videos, so be on the lookout for those in the coming weeks/months. Ramp Academy is a great place to check out for additional employee training resources, too!
Hope this is helpful,
Charlotte
Would love to know where this is at in the process…this would be SO helpful for us. The video tutorials created by Ramp staff are great, but they include things that we don’t use…and we have some not ‘tech savvy’ cardholders…extra info that they don’t need to know is just going to cause confusion. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can we have this feature???
