Hotel Transaction Clearing Times

Many of our hotel transactions are taking 14 days or longer to clear after checkout, causing delays in closing and invoicing since the transactions aren’t available for export until they clear. Support has indicated that the timing depends on when the merchant releases the hold, but we haven’t encountered such delays with other credit card providers. Is there any way to expedite this clearing process with Ramp?

Hey Douglas, thank you for the post. Unfortunately, Ramp can’t expedite this process as it is controlled by the merchant & the bank. I’ll go ahead and pass your feedback on to our Product team.

In the meantime, our Support team may have already mentioned this, but I’d recommend reaching out to the hotel(s) directly to see if they can expedite the hold release.

I’m having the same issue as a cardholder and admin. Specifically it seems with Hilton & Hampton. I had one transaction on 3 March which cleared on 6 March. I have another transaction from 5 March which has not cleared.

This is issue is fairly fresh and I have not been able to get ahold of a rep on the phone.
