We use an IIF file to export credit card transactions from Ramp to QB desktop. Our expense policy requires receipt submission for all transactions of any value. If a receipt is missing after 3 days, the card is locked.
Should we wait until all transactions for a given billing cycle have completed the expense policy requirements before we export the IIF with the transactions? Or can we export the completed transactions and do the late ones when they are complete?

The accounting tab has a tab at the top labeled ‘waiting for cardholders’ which will show you all transactions that are waiting for memos, receipts, approvals etc. I’d recommend waiting to add coding information to those specific transactions until the materials are submitted. In the meantime you can export those that have all necessary documentation. It’s up to you on how long you’d like to wait for the receipt/memos to be sent, but this is a practice several of my clients have adopted.
