When I create a recurring bill, I can only control the due date, not the invoice date. I need to be able to set the invoice date as 1st of the month (for rent), but it can be delivered any date as long as it starts initiating payment on the 1st. I need to set the invoice date as a higher priority than the due date for it to hit our GL in the right period. Using the due date is moving the invoice date around based on weekends, holidays, etc. which is not useful at all.

I spoke to the Bill Pay team, and for what it’s worth, they agree and see the value here. We will add this to the roadmap backlog, although there is no timeline to share at the moment.
