New on Ramp | 1099 Filing

Hi all, we’re excited to announce a big year-end upgrade: 1099 Filing is now on Ramp. :rocket:

1099 Filing on Ramp
You can now manage your 1099 filing process all on the Ramp platform. All customers now have access to a 1099 dashboard in the Vendors tab, where you can manage your 1099 vendors, complete all of your prep now, and start filing on January 6, 2026.

What you can do on Ramp:

  • Bulk collect vendor tax info, W-9s, and e-delivery consent
  • Automate payments categorization via mapping rules and AI suggestions
  • Generate 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC forms
  • File directly with the IRS and states — no external portals
  • Deliver forms to vendors by email or mail, and submit corrections

Pricing is simple - $0.65 per IRS form; state filing is free.

Why this matters for your team:
:white_check_mark: Avoid the January scramble across spreadsheets and portals
:white_check_mark: Reduce errors with centralized vendor data and year-round visibility
:white_check_mark: File faster in bulk, from review to delivery in a few clicks

We’re excited to help make year-end a lot calmer this season—let us know what you think once you try it.

Just wanted to say thank you - this is amazing! The fact that I don’t have to juggle multiple systems for contractors, W-9s, and 1099s is wonderful. I switched to Ramp only a few months ago, so I had quite a few contractors with payments outside of Ramp, but it was very easy to input those payments and get all our contractors ready for filing!

Creating the 1099s was very easy. I would like to know if there is a way to generate the IRS 1096 form based on the NEC and 1099MISC forms that I sent, or if this is a form I need to complete outside of Ramp.

They file electronically with the IRS. Form 1096 isn’t required when filed electronically.

Loved the process, easiest 1099 season I’ve ever had. The mechanism to break out what isn’t 1099’able could’ve been easiest to do quicker, but was straightforward. I did have to do some revisions that could’ve been avoided had there been a way to put them in a “ready for review” status. There was a review section that was system generated by missing info, but no way for my staff to distinguish what was ready for my sign-off.

Still, key takeaway, easiest 1099 season I’ve had in my career.

I agree that the 1099 review process was much simpler than other tools. Perhaps I missed a way to bulk export all of the 1099 copies rather than download them one at a time for our records, does anyone else know of a way?

Hi Jesse! Thanks for asking. Yes – you can follow instructions here on bulk exporting vendor documents.

As part of our financial audit, we typically are asked to provide proof that our 1099/NEC were filed. I can look up each vendor and see the filing status, but I cannot find a report that I can export that will show me all vendors with their IRS submission status and date.

Hi Lianne! We are working on adding a “Filed status” in your downloadable list of 2025 1099 eligible vendors. We can also look to add a “Date filed” as well, if thats helpful. I can let you know when this is available.
