It would be helpful to have an option to send a bill back to Drafts.
We have had several instances where a bill has been created too soon (or accidentally) or needs to be put on hold in the approval process.
Being able to return a bill to the draft stage would prevent accidental approval/payment without having to going the route of rejecting or archiving the bill and starting over. It would also allow for more thorough edits of bill details, payment details, and approvals, especially in cases of accidental bill creation.
EDIT TO ADD:
The ability to edit a bill in the approval stage and/or edit & re-submit a rejected bill are great and are often a great solution.
Where we have run into frustration with these editing options are instances where we have manually adjusted the approval flow of a bill.
Without the ability to edit the approval flow until after the bill is resaved/resubmitted, notifications go out to the wrong approvers, and we then have to notify them separately to please disregard the notification they’ve just received.
