When a manager requests a partial repayment on a transaction, the cardholder’s approval screen currently shows the full transaction amount, with no indication that only a partial amount is being requested. The partial amount only becomes visible after the employee approves.
This creates real confusion in practice. Employees see what looks like a full repayment request and push back, assuming they’re being asked to cover the entire charge.
A simple fix would go a long way: show the requested repayment amount alongside the full transaction total on the initial approval screen, something like “$35.00 requested out of $120.00 total transaction,” before the employee takes any action.
This would reduce friction, prevent unnecessary disputes, and make the partial repayment feature much more transparent for cardholders.
