It would be nice to pay only a portion of a bill. For instance we have situations where 50% of the invoice is due currently and the final amount is due upon completion. The current process for that is to duplicate the bill. This leads to more work, and also possible duplicate payments.
Hi! @Christopher_Rawlings - thank you for the suggestion. Great news - our team agrees, and “partial payments” are already on the product roadmap.
While I don’t have an exact timeline yet, they will most likely be available in Q1 next year.
Enjoy your weekend!
Charlotte
I actually make two copies of the bill and enter it then twice to avoid the deposit issue you are referring to. It is extra work but it works
Hi, @Christopher_Rawlings @Wendy_Meagher-Barnett (and @Tyler_Ellis, believe you asked about this as well) - I have an exciting update to share!
Partial payments should be released in April. Will keep you posted if the timeline changes.
Take care,
Charlotte
hello,
any update on this?
Hi all! Thanks for following up here — @irma_perez @Jennifer_Burton, this should be released to everyone at the start of Q3!
It’ll roll out to Ramp Beta users a bit earlier, so if you’d like early access, make sure you opt into Ramp Beta (you can find this in your Company Settings)
Would the tracking also apply to payments done outside Ramp?
Hi Charlotte!
Is there an update on this function yet? Thanks!
Hi @Denice_Johnson – thanks for asking, the team is still building it out. I don’t have an exact date to share yet, but once I’m able to share an updated one, I’ll circle back!
@Per_Thiessen – for payments made outside of Ramp, I believe you’d still need to manually mark them as paid to keep everything tracked correctly.
If either of you have any additional thoughts or use cases around partial payments, feel free to send them my way happy to pass them along to the team!
@charlotte Just chiming in that the partial payment feature is a something our team would also like to see released.
Thank you! @Kala_Zornow (and welcome to the Ramp Community!) - confirming our team is actively working on it. The timeline has shifted slightly, but it’s definitely coming
