Pay only portion of a bill

Hi Helgi — thank you for checking in! As Elena mentioned, this feature will take approximately three months to build. The project kicked off in mid-October, with the team targeting an Alpha release by the end of January.

We don’t have a GA date yet, but we expect both Alpha and Beta to be available in early Q1. We appreciate your patience and want you to know that the team is working hard to deliver the best possible experience!

Hey Arthur! Yes, I have an update

The alpha should be available by the end of January. Users on QBO will be eligible.

All other ERPs will follow in the beta group, which is expected to launch in March.

Hi Charlotte,

Was this feature released? I have a few clients that are on QBO and am still not seeing this feature available?

Hi Kala, thanks for asking! Yes, the release has begun (yay!), but the alpha is rolling out in small batches. Our team will start expanding the alpha group for more QBO users over the next week. They’re running a few rounds of closed testing and expect to release more broadly over the next month or two!

Please feel free to circle back here if it’s still not showing up in their accounts in the coming weeks

Hi @charlotte, I just ran into this issue with a bill. I’ve run into this before, where a bill has partial payment collected as a “deposit” and then the final payment is months later. Previously, I would simply code the credit card transaction as some account and then later go back and try to rectify, but recording partial payments on bills that are properly split by line item is much preferable. Any chance my account could be added to the alpha? I do not even see this in the early access section. Thank you!

Hey James! Thanks for asking. The short answer is yes, we can get you added! I’m going to follow up via email

Hi all! Just sharing an update that customers on QBO, Netsuite & uCSV can self-serve turn on this feature on by going to Settings → Early Access. Let me know if anyone has any questions!
