Hey @charlotte we would love to start using the the new payments screen and the payment run feature.
It looks like you can only initiate the payment run from the payments screen. The problem is that on the payments screen you cannot add the invoice date which is critical for our workflow.
Is it possible to add the invoice date to the payments screen, it’s a basic field. Alternatively can we create payment runs from the bills screen?
On the payments screen you cannot search by invoice number? Can that be fixed?
Hi! @Joshua_Schleifer - appreicate the bump! Our team is currently building functionality that will allow you to select bills and view the corresponding payments directly in the Payments table. We also have several enhancements to Payment Runs rolling out over the next few months – here’s a help center article.
And great suggestion on searching by invoice number – confirming the team has added it to the roadmap!
We’d also like to include a few feedback/request items on the Payment Run feature.
We require the ability to add comments and attachments to each individual Payment Run. Currently, we can add a comment/attachment in the Activity section of each bill that is on a Payment Run, but we need to view, add comments & attachments to the RUN itself - we are required to have specific approvals & documentation for audit purposes.
The Remind releaser feature is currently a hot mess. If you hit Remind all - then it emails the releasers individually for each BILL, not the one payment run. So our two payment releasors got 113 Ramp emails one day from us hitting the Remind all for one Payment Run. The ideal would be it emails the payment releaser(s) one email per run.
While we found a workaround to add more than 100 bills to a Payment Run, it won’t allow the Releaser to release more than 100 at a time, so they have to release the same Run multiple times. Goofy. Our payment runs can frequently go over 100 bills at a time/day.
International Wire payment bills are not pulling into the Payments section at all. Support tells us that’s a current limitation as Wire payment can’t be included in Payment Runs. That’s fine not to allow them to be put into Runs, but we DO want them to still be listed/included in the Payment section. Otherwise, we are having to work out of two areas to pay our bills each day. This is an issue in every section of Ramp - you can never choose more than 50-100 items at a time.
