I love Ramp, but I don’t like how synced transactions from Ramp to Quickbooks Online show up in our Quickbooks database.
Specifically, the username/cardholder of said transaction gets appended to every transaction description in Quickbooks. For example if John Smith bought paper and he enters “Paper for Office” in the Ramp Memo Field, it syncs to Quickbooks as “John Smith - Paper for Office”.
While this may sound good in theory, it really messes us up for the expenses that we charge back to customers. For those chargebacks, Quickbooks now automatically creates an invoice for our customer based on the synced Ramp transaction description with the invoice description of “John Smith - Paper for Office”. This is too much information for the customers and not a good description for these types of transactions. Customers don’t need to know the admin who bought the paper. To fix this, we must manually go into every chargeback invoice and remove the user name from the description.
Please, please make this automatic user name appending feature from Ramp to Quickbooks an OPTION.
If we enter a specific memo in Ramp, we expect that wording to sync 100% as-is to Quickbooks.
Thank you for your review & consideration!
