Right now, Ramp recognizes hotel charges only as Lodging. However, there can be charges for restaurants. We should have the ability to change it to Restaurant so it will automatically calculate the per diems against our travel policy.

Since Ramp categories come directly from Visa’s merchant codes (which are chosen by the merchant themselves), we’re unable to alter them.
I’ll talk with our product team to see if in the future we can create an option to assign specific transactions to be calculated against the per diem you’ve set.
