There are currently ways to set custom warnings or policy violations, but it would helpful to set more restrictions that are card or group specific. For example, we have a corporate Amazon account with its own Ramp card for payment. It has tax exempt status. Cardholders are forgetting to use the corporate account and are using their own Ramp cards and accounts that aren’t tax exempt. I’d like to block all cards except the primary Amazon card from spending at Amazon through merchant restrictions. This would also be handy when we have certain cardholders spending at a merchant that we’ve told them not to for a certain reason. The merchant shouldn’t be blocked from all users, just on that one card. As a tax-exempt organization I’ve got people with sales tax on recurring subscriptions. I want to block the specific merchants on their cards (but not everyone’s) when they do that.

Great news for you, @Joshua_Winskie - you can do this on Ramp. We offer the ability to restrict specific merchants on individual cards.
To do this:
→ select the card you wish to add the merchant restriction to → click ‘Edit Card’ → scroll down to the ‘Advanced Controls’ section. From there → choose which merchants are blocked on a Ramp card.
For your Amazon example, you can use the ‘Block Merchants’ feature and add “Amazon” to prevent Amazon charges from being made on all cards except the primary Amazon card. This way, you can ensure that only the tax-exempt corporate account is used for Amazon purchases.
Let me know if you have any questions!
