We use Ramp’s bank sync to push our Ramp checking account withdrawals over to Sage Intacct as journal entries for our month-end close and reconciliation process.
Right now, when these withdrawals sync over, the Memo/Description field is automatically populated with a generic label like “Checking Account - Withdrawal.” This makes it hard to identify what the transaction was actually for without going back to Ramp to cross-reference, which slows down reconciliations and journal entry review. A more descriptive memo would let our team (and anyone else reviewing the GL) understand the purpose of each entry at a glance.
While this is a small request compared to others, I think it would be helpful to allow users to enter a custom description or memo on the withdrawal in Ramp that carries over into the synced journal entry’s Memo/Description field in Sage Intacct, instead of defaulting to the generic account-type label. This would give finance teams the flexibility to label transactions meaningfully at the point of entry, improving traceability and reducing manual follow-up during reconciliation.
