Vendor invite email

We are getting a fair amount of feedback from our vendors that they think the email they receive from Ramp asking to provide their information is SPAM. We really need the ability to customize the email that is sent from the system so we can provide some information more closely related to our company.

Alternatively, the ability for us to obtain a link to send the vendor directly would work as well.

Hi David, TK here from the Ramp product team. Thanks for your feedback. We’ll look into two things for you:

  1. Ability to customize your own message to the vendor to add context to the email that’s sent by Ramp to collect payment or tax details.
  2. Create a link that you can send directly to the vendor to fill out the information.

I third this request! @tkkong. Just had a vendor reach out this morning thinking a request for ACH information was spam. The ability to customize the message a bit more or access a link would be amazing!

Commenting to bring this up to the top. A lot of our vendors think these emails are spam.
Two recommendations:

  • The email has TWO Ramp logos side by side - it looks very odd and spammy.
  • Creating a link to directly send to the vendor would make a world of a difference. We often run into vendors where its going to their firewall and they can’t even retrieve the onboarding email.

We have made a few updates here - 1) adding the ability to include custom messaging in the detail request, 2) the ability to add your company logo to the vendor request (I’m not sure why two Ramp logos are showing in yours - would you mind sending me a screenshot of this to [email protected], if you’re able?)

Have these improvements helped at all?

Would the ability to cc your team’s ap email help make this email seem more authentic? Is there anything else we could improve with the email/request itself?
